Garden uses

Notes

'NCLX1' privet (Ligustrum 'NCLX1') is a shrub for hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil. It grows 48 to 72 inches tall and wide, so it makes a full screen. White flowers open in late spring and have a fragrant scent. You can prune it each year to keep the hedge neat and tidy.

Pairs well with Purple Pillar rose of sharon, Jersey tea, and Festiva Maxima peony.
