Notes
'Vim and Vigor' hosta (Hosta 'Vim and Vigor') is a perennial for borders, shade gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average moisture. It reaches 24 to 36 inches tall and spreads 36 to 60 inches, so give it room. Pale lavender flowers open from early to late summer and are fragrant. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Siberian bugloss, Alertie peony, and Canada wild rye.
