Notes

'Violet Intrigue' lavender (Lavandula angustifolia 'Violet Intrigue') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, hedges, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy or loamy soil. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It forms an upright mound of grey-green leaves with fragrant violet flowers from early to late summer. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Magnus coneflower, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Knock Out rose.
