Waveleaf Japanese maple

Notes

'Waveleaf' Japanese maple (Acer palmatum 'Waveleaf') is a tree for specimen planting, containers, and fall color. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun. New spring leaves are purple-red with dark red veins, and they turn dark burgundy in summer. In autumn the leaves turn fiery red. The leaf edges have a rippled texture all season.

Pairs well with Ostrich fern, Contorta eastern white pine, and Clematis.
