Notes

'Whit VIII' lagerstroemia (Lagerstroemia indica 'Whit VIII') is a shrub for specimen plantings, hedges, privacy screens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Soft pink flowers open from early to late summer and again in early autumn, and butterflies and bees visit them. Deer tend to pass it by. It grows fast and forms a dense shape.

Pairs well with Munstead lavender, Red twig dogwood, and Big bluestem.
