Notes
White bear sedge (Carex albursina) is a grass for groundcover, woodland gardens, and erosion control. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to moist soil. It is evergreen, so it adds green color to the bed all year. Small white and green blooms open from late spring to early summer, and the plant reaches about 24 inches tall.
Pairs well with Paradigm hosta, Western sword fern, and Incrediball Blush smooth hydrangea.
