Notes

'White Cap' peony (Paeonia 'White Cap') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The fragrant, rose-red flowers have cream centers that fade to white, and tall, stiff stems hold them up. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. George E. Winchell bred it.

Pairs well with Moonshine yarrow, Minuteman hosta, Black Hero tulip, and Phantom panicle hydrangea.
