Notes

'White Sun' bigleaf hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla 'White Sun') is a shrub for cut flowers, hedges, privacy screens, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It blooms from early to late summer and grows at a rapid rate. Deer tend to pass it by. It also tolerates salt, so it can work in gardens that get salt spray.

Pairs well with Blue Angel hosta, Aureola Japanese forest grass, and Lady fern.
