Notes

Woolly sedge (Carex pellita) is a grass for meadow plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and wet soil. It blooms in late spring and again in early to late summer. It grows up to 40 inches tall, so it works well in a wet meadow or along a damp edge.

Pairs well with Softstem bulrush, Maximilian sunflower, and Michigan lily.
