Notes

'Yaku Prince' rhododendron (Rhododendron 'Yaku Prince') is an evergreen shrub for borders, specimen planting, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Pink flowers open in early to late spring and attract hummingbirds, bees, and birds. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Its dense, compact shape suits a woodland edge.

Pairs well with Royal Star star magnolia, Red trillium, and Allegheny serviceberry.
