Notes
'Yamato-nishiki' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Yamato-nishiki') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The flowers open seashell-pink with purple flares. They age to white as they mature. Cut a few stems to bring the changing colors indoors.
Pairs well with Mock orange, Endless Summer hydrangea, Black Parrot tulip, and Ostrich fern.
