Notes

'Yellow Queen' common hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis 'Yellow Queen') is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Its light yellow flowers are fragrant and open from early to late spring. Bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Pink Impression tulip, Fire Island hosta, and Duchesse de Nemours peony.
