Notes

'Yellow Ribbon' American arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis 'Yellow Ribbon') is an evergreen shrub for specimen use, hedges, privacy screens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, loamy or clay soil. It grows slowly into a dense, fragrant form that reaches 5 to 10 feet tall and 2 to 3 feet wide. It sits low on the menu for deer. Birds visit it.

Pairs well with Globosa Colorado spruce, Shrubby cinquefoil, Rock soapwort, and Red fescue.
