Notes

'Zohar' sunflower (Helianthus annuus 'Zohar') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is not cold-hardy and will not survive freezing temperatures. This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It grows fast and bears orange and golden blooms that attract butterflies, bees, and birds. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Cut a few stems for a vase.

Pairs well with Xsenia cosmos, Cerise Queen yarrow, and Red fescue.
