'Alba' Himalayan blue poppy (Meconopsis baileyi 'Alba') is a perennial for borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It grows about 47 to 59 inches tall and 12 to 24 inches wide, and it blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer.
Pairs well with Primrose, Azalea, and Nigrescens mondo grass.
