Notes

'Albospica' Canadian hemlock (Tsuga canadensis 'Albospica') is a tree for specimen planting, hedges, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It grows at a rapid rate and keeps its evergreen needles all year. The arching branches attract birds.

Pairs well with Western sword fern, Red trillium, and Autumn Brilliance juneberry.
