Notes

'Jervis' Canadian hemlock (Tsuga canadensis 'Jervis') is a tree for specimen planting, shade gardens, and low maintenance landscapes. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It stays small at 24 to 36 inches tall and spreads 36 to 60 inches wide. Deer rarely make it their first choice. The arching evergreen grows at a rapid rate and attracts birds.

Pairs well with Elegans hosta, Western sword fern, and Red trillium.
