Notes

'Jeddeloh' Canadian hemlock (Tsuga canadensis 'Jeddeloh') is a tree for specimen planting, low maintenance gardens, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The arching evergreen branches grow at a rapid rate and attract birds. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It stays small at 24 to 36 inches tall and 36 to 48 inches wide.

Pairs well with Elegans hosta, Western sword fern, and Red trillium.
