Notes
'Golden Splendor' Canadian hemlock (Tsuga canadensis 'Golden Splendor') is a tree for specimen planting, hedges, privacy screens, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast and stays evergreen all year. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Birds visit the tree, and its arching habit adds a soft look to the yard.
Pairs well with Foam flower, Cinnamon fern, and Annabelle hydrangea.
