Notes

'Gentsch White' Canadian hemlock (Tsuga canadensis 'Gentsch White') is a tree for specimen planting, hedges, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is an evergreen with an arching habit, and birds visit it. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It grows at a rapid rate.

Pairs well with Mini Skirt hosta, Incrediball Blush smooth hydrangea, and Canada wild rye.
