Notes

'Moon Frost' Canadian hemlock (Tsuga canadensis 'Moon Frost') is a tree for specimen use, hedges, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It grows at a rapid rate and stays small, reaching 24 to 48 inches tall and wide. The arching evergreen branches attract birds.

Pairs well with Western sword fern, Elegans hosta, and Red trillium.
