Notes
'Rosea' alpine squill (Scilla bifolia 'Rosea') is a bulb for borders, containers, and naturalized drifts. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Pink flowers open from early to late spring. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It stays 3 to 6 inches tall and wide, so plant it in groups for a good show.
Pairs well with Spanish bluebell, Carlton daffodil, Western sword fern, and Dalmatian bellflower.
