Notes

'Antares' autumn crocus (Colchicum 'Antares') is a bulb for borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Mineral-violet flowers have ivory white inner segments edged in mineral-violet, with a greenish white flower tube. They open from early to late autumn and attract bees. It sits low on the menu for deer.

Pairs well with Grape hyacinth, Smooth hydrangea, and Monkshood.
