Notes

'Poseidon' autumn crocus (Colchicum 'Poseidon') is a bulb for borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Violet flowers open from early to late autumn and attract bees. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. The plant is also drought tolerant.

Pairs well with Burnet, Indian grass, and Royal Purple smoketree.
