Notes

'Aurora' common hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis 'Aurora') is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The single flowers are phlox pink with a lighter margin and have a sweet scent. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It blooms from early to late spring and draws bees.

Pairs well with Greig's tulip, Grape hyacinth, Rainforest Sunrise hosta, and Sarah Bernhardt peony.
