Notes

'Ayesha' bigleaf hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla 'Ayesha') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, containers, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The flowers are lightly fragrant, which is unusual for the genus. Blooms last from mid summer to mid fall. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Aureola Japanese forest grass, Patriot hosta, and Glossy abelia.
