Notes

'Az Ap' iris (Iris 'Az Ap') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. The flowers are cobalt blue with gentian blue beards, and they bloom in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Sum and Substance hosta, Eastern columbine, Pinky Winky panicle hydrangea, and Angelique tulip.
