Notes
'Bird Feeder' iris (Iris 'Bird Feeder') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, rain gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil. It grows 30 to 36 inches tall and bears blue blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Give it a spot with room to spread about 24 to 30 inches.
Pairs well with Spotted joe-pye weed, Cinnamon fern, and Sedge.
