Notes
Blue beaked yucca (Yucca rostrata) is a succulent for specimen planting, rock gardens, containers, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. It grows slowly into an erect plant with blue-green evergreen leaves. White flowers draw hummingbirds and bees. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Give it room, since it can reach about 15 feet tall.
Pairs well with Ice plant, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Goldenrod.
Native range
South western Texas and northern Mexico.
