Notes

'Blue Pearl' iris (Iris 'Blue Pearl') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It bears violet-blue blooms with a black-edged, yellow blotch. Flowers open in early to late spring and again in early to late summer.

Pairs well with Amsonia, Feather reed grass, and Bridal wreath spiraea.
