Notes

'Cantina' iris (Iris 'Cantina') is a perennial for borders and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Fragrant burgundy blooms open in spring and again in summer, and the plants reach about 35 inches tall. Divide the clumps every two to three years just after blooming, and plant the rhizomes at or just below soil level. Rabbits tend to nibble other plants first.

Pairs well with Festiva Maxima peony, Carlton daffodil, and Blue grama.
