'Carousel Sunflower' sunflower (Helianthus annuus 'Carousel Sunflower') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and containers. It cannot take cold, and a freeze will end its season. This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It blooms from early to late summer on stems 36 to 48 inches tall. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit the flowers. It sits low on the menu for deer.
Pairs well with First Knight fountain grass, Cherry Queen zinnia, and Celosia.
