Notes

'Color Festival' hosta (Hosta 'Color Festival') is a perennial for shade gardens, borders, containers, and low maintenance planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and spreads at least 12 inches. It tolerates salt and has fragrant flowers that attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.

Pairs well with Aureola Japanese forest grass, Astilbe, and Bigleaf hydrangea.
