Notes

'Dallas' ornamental onion (Allium 'Dallas') is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy or loamy soil. Violet, fragrant flowers draw butterflies and bees on plants about 11 inches tall. It sits low on the menu for deer. W. Mellema bred it.

Pairs well with Queen of Night tulip, Blue fescue, and Karl Rosenfield peony.
