Notes
'Discovery Purple' iris (Iris 'Discovery Purple') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. It grows about 30 inches tall and bears dark violet blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Maveridge International B.V. bred it. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.
Pairs well with Munstead lavender, Feather reed grass, and Briar rose.
