Notes

'Dream Joy' common juniper (Juniperus squamata 'Dream Joy') is a shrub for borders, rock gardens, ground cover, and foundation plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. This dense evergreen grows slowly and stays about 24 inches tall. It is drought tolerant and needs little care.

Pairs well with Creeping phlox, Blue fescue, and Gladiator ornamental onion.
