Notes

'Ego' iris (Iris 'Ego') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil. It bears blue flowers in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. The clumps grow 18 to 30 inches tall and 18 to 24 inches wide.

Pairs well with Spotted joe-pye weed, Cinnamon fern, and Sedge.
