Notes

'Eleonore' amaryllis (Hippeastrum 'Eleonore') is a bulb for borders, containers, cut flower use, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It grows about 20 inches tall and blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late winter.

Pairs well with Anemone, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Silver sage.
