Notes

'Elvira' iris (Iris 'Elvira') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. The standards are pale violet with narrow, darker veins. The falls are densely veined purple on a yellowish white ground, with a small, dark purple blotch at the base. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Munstead lavender, Feather reed grass, and Ornamental onion.
