This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and spreads 35 to 47 inches, so give it room. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. It is fragrant and attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
Pairs well with Aureola Japanese forest grass, Astilbe, and Bigleaf hydrangea.
