Notes
'Excelsum Superbum' privet (Ligustrum lucidum 'Excelsum Superbum') is a shrub for hedges and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet soil. It grows fast into a mounding evergreen that tolerates drought. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It blooms from early to late summer, and birds visit the plant.
Pairs well with Rose of sharon, Butterfly milkweed, and Blueberry.
