Notes

'Explorer' iris (Iris 'Explorer') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. It bears violet-blue blooms about 30 inches tall in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Munstead lavender, Feather reed grass, and Ornamental onion.
