Notes

'Fancy Feathers' oriental poppy (Papaver orientale 'Fancy Feathers') is a perennial for borders, cut flower gardens, cottage gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. It forms a clump 12 to 24 inches tall and blooms in spring and again in summer. Bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Ostfriesland sage, Lady's mantle, Purple Sensation ornamental onion, and Lupine.
