Notes

'Faust' amaryllis (Hippeastrum 'Faust') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The dark purple-red flowers are about 8 inches across and open in winter and spring. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It is also drought tolerant.
