Notes
'Fondant' common hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis 'Fondant') is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Its fragrant blooms open in early to late spring and attract bees. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It forms a tidy clump about 12 inches tall.
Pairs well with Gipsy Queen common hyacinth, Flaming Purissima tulip, Armenian grape hyacinth, and White Splendour Greek thimbleweed.
