Notes

'Forelock' ornamental onion (Allium 'Forelock') is a bulb for borders, pollinator gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. The fragrant maroon purple blooms attract butterflies and bees. Deer tend to pass it by. Fa. M.M. Duin bred it.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Pink Impression tulip, and Ice plant.
