Notes
Foxtail lily (Eremurus isabellinus) is a bulb that sends up tall spires of orange flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average soil. Each petal has a narrow red stripe along the midrib, and the buds are burnt orange. Bluish, strap-like leaves grow at the base, so do not let other perennials overgrow the foliage.
Pairs well with Blanket flower, Woolly yarrow, and Feather reed grass.
