Notes

Foxtail lily (Eremurus stenophyllus) is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Its tall yellow flowers attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Once settled in, it is also drought tolerant.

Pairs well with Fountain grass, Jacob’s ladder, Black Baccara rose, and Boxwood.
