Notes
'Garnet Frills' Lenten rose (Helleborus hybridus 'Garnet Frills') is a perennial for foundation plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade. The double white blooms have garnet-red edging and veining with creamy-yellow centers, and they nod above a mound of evergreen foliage. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Lenten roses are long-lived.
Pairs well with Liverleaf, Snowdrop, and Lime Zinger sedum.
