Notes
'Gervase' amaryllis (Hippeastrum 'Gervase') is a bulb for borders and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. The deep pink flowers have white detailing, and they bloom indoors in January and February. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Grow it in a pot outside in summer and fertilize well.
Pairs well with False shamrock, Mondo grass, and Frogfruit.
